He currently heads all design and architecture teams across the Indo-Pacific region and North America.
Key accomplishments include lending his expertise to many iconic, world-class developments such as the St. Regis Hotel & Serviced Apartments in Kuala Lumpur, the ‘888’ retail complex in Danang, and BMW’s new engine plant in Northeast China. As lead architect, he oversaw the multi-year restoration of the Secretariat Building in Yangon, a Victorian colonial masterpiece and the country’s most intriguing and prized architectural landmark.
More recently, Luigi has brought his signature style to Marriott Hotels Saigon and two key city projects managed by the government of Ho Chi Minh City – the new Saigon Opera House and Saigon Golden Square, a “Smart City” initiative.
Across the region, Luigi is cooperating with several international institutions including UNESCO Vietnam, several Italian embassies, and educational institutions in Italy, Japan, Vietnam, and Malaysia, to organize and present a workshop on the “Italian way” of planning and design. The workshop will pay specific attention to the restoration and revitalization of heritage buildings as well as the implementation of smart cities on a global scale.
