Australia's Vocational Education and Training (VET) system is internationally recognised as one of the best in the world, most notably for its responsiveness to industry needs and flexibility of delivery.

Victoria leads the national in the delivery of VET, both onshore and offshore. VET accounts for a quarter of international students in Victoria. Offshore, close to 80 per cent of Australian TAFE transnational activity is delivered by Victorian Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutes.

Victorian VET providers currently deliver skills training and work in partnership with governments and industry partners in Asia. They also offer a range of training and consulting services to companies, governments and other educational institutions internationally.

Victoria's publicly owned TAFE institutes have long been known as the backbone of the VET industry delivering a wide range of courses, from entry-level to higher-level vocational training qualifications, and tertiary degrees as well.

On 19 May 2022, four major public owned TAFE institutes in Victoria: Box Hill Institute, Chisholm Institute, Holmesglen Institute and Kangan Institute will join the virtual Industry Dialogue and meet like-minded VET providers in Vietnam. It is a great opportunity to understand each other's capabilities, communicate on areas of collaborations and develop relationships for further growth.
